Our Origin Story
It all started in a small garage workshop back in 2005. As an automotive technician, Jim Quinn was frustrated with the limitations of the tools available. The pro brands were too expensive, while the discount brands lacked reliability. He knew there had to be a better way – premium tools accessible to every worker.
After months of research and development, Jim launched the very first Quinn® Tools set. It contained over 300 pieces designed to cover all the essentials for professional mechanics. However, he priced it at a fraction of comparable pro tool kits.

Growth and Evolution
Encouraged by the enthusiastic response, Jim expanded the Quinn® selection throughout the late 2000s. He focused on providing specialty tools often overlooked by other brands, like timing light sets and fuel pressure testers.
In 2010, Quinn® went international with tool exports to Canada, Australia, and Europe. Despite this growth, Jim remained committed to hands-on product development. He personally tested out every new Quinn® tool addition in his garage-based workshop.
By 2015, the Quinn® catalog had grown to over 700 tools. In addition to mechanic’s toolsets, DIYers could now find plumbing, electrical, automotive trim, and demolition tools. With Jim’s daughter Julie now on board, Quinn® also expanded into innovative new categories like LED work lights and lithium-powered jump starters.
